Mightily Smiting Evil (can you parse that one?)

Had a good night in-game last night.

We finished up VP. There’s not a lot to say about it, all the mobs went smoothly, no Coercer loot dropped for me to lose rolls on, and we got a couple of mythicals for the guild. It was nice, smooth and fun.

Outside of that, I ran OoA a couple of times yesterday as it was the Daily Double.

The first run I was on Saynt. I grabbed up Anep on his dirge and a few guildies and we hit the zone. It was super smooth, not that OoA is tough, but I rarely tank for anyone but Second String anymore. I honestly think I have been a little too hard on myself about the Pally’s DPS. I was parsing 3500 – 4200 in there with just the dirge buffs on most mobs and I think that is acceptable. I guess seeing Anep put up the parses he does might have given me some unrealistic expectations for the Paladin. I don’t expect to parse like an SK, nor do I think Paladins SHOULD parse like an SK, Paladins have different strengths. I just wanted to be a little CLOSER to Anep’s parse. I just underestimated the amount of DPS he is getting from SS buffs, my coercer buffs especially.

I know I’m not the highest parsing Pally around, but I’d like to be competitive. Anep said he felt I was parsing fine on the Pally, but I think he may just be trying to get me to shut up about it. Anyway, I felt a little more confident about his DPS last night and it was nice to tank for some guildies.

Later in the evening, we ran OoA again with Taylona tanking on his berserker. Tay doesn’t get to tank as much as Anep or I, so he was a little nervous about it. I think he did great, and I really pushed him ;) I died a few times but they were all my own fault for going balls out. I had to push though, it’s the SS way.

Tonight is an off raid night and I have no idea what we will get ourselves into. I’m sure it will be fun though!
